I was hanging out downtown today My friend Jen(her gallery is so rad!), took this picture of me in this hat I designed. I love this hat, it's so different and beautiful...

Oatmeal and Cream

 

I love the flow of this skirt...Just wish I was smiling...

I've been looking for a cropped sweater that would accent my waist so that I could wear it with one of my high waisted skirts... So when a friend of mine gave me this(Thank you Athena =) I was overjoyed! So I wore it lickty split with a silk skirt that I made out of a dress and called it a day, LOVE it =)

DIY of the Accessory Variety

A couple of recent DIY's that I've concocted...

1. A super easy and inexpensive storage solution for your sunnies.

All you need is wire hanger, some clear wall space and a screw ring that you can easily find at your local hardware store. 

All you do is screw in the ring, hang up the hanger, and balance out your sunnies and you're done.

For DIY number 2 all you need is an earring I used a giant one that i won from Lynn's give away a while back,and a jump ring(found at your local craft shop) and some pliers.

All you gotta do is take the earwire off the earring with the pliers. Take the jump ring and put it where the earwire was(using the pliers). Then top it off with a chain or piece of leather then you're done.

Simple Statement

  Some days it's just nice to throw on something simple and add some statement jewelz and call it a day. Since these two necklaces weren't quite cutting it on their own I decided to layer them up, I love how it worked.

Striped

 A little something I wore last week. I recently scored(for pennies) a pair of long awaited, sought after Levi's shorts. The long hunt is at last over!  Anyway they are the new work-horse of my wardrobe. They seem to go with everything, including my favorite blazer that I wear whenever I can. Fortunately this blazer is a super lightweight wool that can be worn in the warmth of Florida's funky fall, winter, or spring weather. Plus the fit is so flattering, as are the vertical stripes which is always a good thing.

Art Nouveau

My sweet friend Sara(her store is amazing!) gave me this gorgeous vintage dress. I didn't quite realize how awesome it looks until I was looking at the pics... Anywho the sleeves are so perfect. I love how they remind me of Anne's long awaited puffed sleeved dress. (all of which you can see in the movie Anne of Green Gables) I also cant get enough of the Art Nouveau inspired print(which has gold painted outlines through out!), LOVE it!!!!
